SNB IN THE OPEN,MUSEUMS WEEKEND 2005

The usual operating place within the bunker (M.O.D.Radio Rooms) get very cold and damp regardless of the temperature outside so it was decided to look for a way of setting up outdoors and following a chat with Mike Parish it was discovered that mains power could be installed very close to the antenna mast compound via a ventilation shaft and with the kind loan of a very long extention lead we were in business .

Peter listening with George doing the logging while Chris and Harry look on

The outside setup showing the FT920 Left to the club by Terry Parker and the Heathkit Linear which came in very usefull during the weekend

Another view of the Antenna Mast with quite few additions since we started operating from the Kelvedon Hatch Secret Nuclear Bunker

Following some discussion with Havering DARC Barking now have exclusive use of the GB0SNB callsign but all are welcome just give me a call (see home page for contact details)
